Product for Cleaning

What do I do when the tape gets stuck on the floor or carpet and the roller can't be moved?

Two causes are likely.

When using the type for carpets on carpets.

Please roll it in the direction that the tape peels off (for tape with arrows printed on it, it’s the direction of the arrows). If you roll it in the opposite direction, the tape may come off and stick to the carpet. Before using it, by folding back 5mm to 1cm of the edge of the tape, it will be easier to grab access to and it won’t come off so easily.

When using the COLOCOLO for carpets on flooring.

The COLOCOLO for carpet use will stick to flooring and won’t come off. Due to this, for smooth and flat surfaces, such as flooring, please make sure to use the multi-type for flooring.

How can I peel off the tape when it gets stuck to the floor?

Please peel off the tape slowly. If it can’t be peeled off, blow hot air onto it with a hair dryer positioned 30cm away and try peeling it off once it’s become warm.
If it still can’t be peeled off, soak it in soapy water (soak in a mix of kitchen neutral detergent and water, with a ratio of 1:1) and try peeling it off again.
Depending on the type of flooring, using soapy water may permeate through and discolor the flooring or harm the gloss of the flooring, so please first try on an inconspicuous area before using it fully.

The shaft collapses when using. What can I do about it?

Fixing the length of the shaft in place can be easily done by just twisting it, so if it’s not fastened properly or if it takes effort to twist it in the opposite direction it will come loose.
Please try fastening it once again.

About how to fasten it

Hold both the metallic "C"-shaped part of the shaft on the end where the tape is and the clip part both with a different hand and twist it to close it properly with little force.

Points of caution when using

If you roll it diagonally or hit it against a wall, a force may be applied towards the direction that loosens the shaft. When rolling it, please roll it straight and lightly.

The end of the tape is hard to get a hold of. Is there a better way?

If you fold over around 5mm to 1cm of the end of the tape before using it, it will be easier to get a hold of.
When getting a hold of the tape, grab from where there aren’t any cut edges. If you try to get a hold of the tape from where the cut edge is without folding over the end, you may grab a number of layers at once.
“COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner Easy-Peel” and “COLOCOLO High Grade Easy-Peel”, have an easy-to-see place to grab and also have a clear-cut-type orange line that makes for easy ripping.

When using the tape roll it comes off. What can I do about it?

If it’s a Nitoms’ product, there will be grippers attached to the main roll you put the tape on, so please raise the grippers so they are pointing outwards.

Is there an easy way to open the case?

If it’s a Nitoms’ product, the case will open if you push the shaft down while slanting it away from you. When storing it, the case will close if you put the tape end into the case and push the shaft downward.

Why doesn’t the COLOCOLO that I bought have ripping lines?

For COLOCOLO tape rolls, some have ripping lines while others don’t and have cuts on the edges. For most spare tape rolls, it will show on the packaging an icon of the tape’s features of either “ripping lines” or “cuts”. For those with the “cuts” icon, they won’t have ripping lines, so you rip the tape from the cuts on the edges.

The case broke. Do you sell the case on its own?

Unfortunately, we do not sell the case on its own. We apologize for the inconvenience.

What does the “common size for each company” mean on the packaging?

”Common size for each company” refers to tape that is 160mm wide and with a core of diameter 38mm. If appliances by other companies also use this same tape size, you can use the applicable COLOCOLO spare tapes with them.

Can COLOCOLO also be used on waxed flooring?

It may peel off for floors with surface layers such as wax or a glazing agent, but please first try it out on an inconspicuous area before using.

Are there types of COLOCOLO for use on tatami mats or flooring?

The products you require are “COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner” or “COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner Easy-Peel” that can be used not just on carpet but also on flooring and tatami mats. There is also COLOCOLO PE Foam Green that has cushioning characteristics and adheres using static electricity.

Are there types of flooring that cannot be cleaned with [COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner]?

It cannot be used with specialized flooring such as natural stone, artificial stone, ceramic, or grass.
Also it may leave glue marks on plastic or stainless steel-type surfaces, so please first try it out in a corner (inconspicuous area) before using it.

Are there types of carpets that [COLOCOLO which is for the curpets] cannot be used with?

Some carpets and rugs have thick silk or piles (over 20mm), have threads that easily detach, or are of a special variety, and [COLOCOLO which is for the curpets] cannot be used with these due to the risks of leaving glue marks and threads detaching.

Can you use [COLOCOLO which is for the curpets] on tatami or floor sheets?

Tape for carpet has strong adhesive power so it cannot be used on smooth and flat surfaces such as tatami, flooring, or floor sheets because it will get stuck.
For smooth and flat surfaces please use “COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner” or “COLOCOLO Multi-Floor Cleaner Easy-Peel“.

I can't remove incrustation (hot water coating) with [Polishing Sponge]. Is there some way to deal with this?

If it’s hard to get incrustation off, try soaking it in hot water before usage and it should come off more easily.
If the dirt persists, it may be a different type of dirt, such as water incrustation or dirt from the aging of the bath or vessel. Please verify what type of dirt it is.
